TOWT: low carbon maritime transport for all

Our sail propelled vessels, with a capacity of 980 pallets (European format), enable carbon free maritime transport. TOWT offers its customers an industrial maritime transport service for pallets (American, European, max height 195cm) on our routes, mainly transatlantic.

A major issue

Our first customers, from small companies to multinationals, show that our offer is for everyone. It allows them to face their supply and CSR challenges: stable price, secure operations, lead time within market standards, strong decarbonization of transport operations.

Our first, mainly transatlantic, routes will be completed in 2026 with the launch of 6 new vessels. We will continue to expand our fleet to meet the needs of as many people as possible.

An offer for everyone

Today, we have around fifty clients, in France and abroad, in sectors as diverse as wine and spirits production, cosmetics distribution, manufacturing, coffee trade,… Everyone understands that the world of tomorrow will be radically decarbonized, and that maritime transport will have to adapt.

Our ships allow us to offer a truly modular service, adapted to the needs of our customers: from a few pallets to several hundred, with privatized holds and flexible contracts.

First routes in operation, future routes to be defined.

With its 2 vessels in service, TOWT today offers 5 routes to its shipper customers:

  • Le Havre – New York : 15 days
  • France -Colombia via Guadeloupe / Martinique : 25 days
  • France – Brazil : 25j
  • South America (Santa Marta) – North America (New York or Quebec) : 9-14 days
  • Vietnam – France : 45 days

From 2026 and our 6 new vesseks, we want to increase our routes. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have specific needs!

Competitive Lead Times

Thanks to the latest routing technologies from offshore racing, but also to very efficient loading and unloading operations, we offer lead times in the average carbon maritime transport.

Between 2021 and 2023, TOWT carried out a study with an expert to show that with modern routing software and an adapted route plan, we could meet the announced transit times with a main sail propulsion vessel. This study considered wind changes, but also the shape of the ship, currents, cargo volume, etc., and showed us the optimal sea routes for mainsail propulsion.  Loading/unloading operations are optimized: we can load or unload the ship in less than 6 hours!

Your products are safe

Whether for a few pallets or several hundred, TOWT integrates all the standards of the maritime transport market from the reception of your goods to their delivery: sealed holds, dedicated warehouses, dynamic stability control (via intelligent ballast system), pallet securing,…

On receipt of the order, the operations team integrates the forecast volumes into the vessel’s loading plan and validates our ability to integrate them in compliance with safety standards. This plan is then used until loading/unloading. At all times, we know the exact location of your goods on the vessel.
