Shipper Partners

We are proud to work with renowned partners who share our vision of sustainable, low-carbon shipping.

Belco

Belco is a family-owned, independent company, established over 10 years ago, specialising in the sourcing and distribution of green coffee in Europe. Belco has a unique approach to its business and mission, based on improving the quality of the coffees it offers, with the aim of creating added value for both its suppliers (the producers) and its customers (the roasters).

From 2022, Belco has committed itself to TOWT transport à la voile, i.e. transporting part of its coffees by cargo ship. The target for 2025: at least 50% of the total volume of its coffees to be transported by sea, i.e. 4,000 tonnes.

Belco - Chargeur Partenaire de TOWT

“Making our transport more sustainable is a necessity, not a sales pitch or a publicity stunt. As a businessman, you don’t always have to calculate everything, it’s just our responsibility, a business decision that should go without saying.”

Alexandre Bellangé, Managing Director

Café Williams

The story of Café William starts with an idea. A great idea. Maybe even a crazy idea. To produce the most sustainable coffee in the world.

Café William offers a wide range of organic and Fairtrade coffees, always with the aim of being as sustainable as possible. In recent years, the company has taken a number of initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of its products. It all started with the idea of using wind power to transport its raw materials, creating zero emissions. Then Café William developed the world’s first hydro-powered industrial electric roaster at its new LEED-certified factory. Meanwhile, the company began the process of becoming a B Corp, which it achieved in 2024.

In the same year, Café William formalised its partnership with TOWT, which will allow it to transport 1,000,000 kilos of green coffee from South America to Canada. This agreement will allow the company to significantly reduce the environmental impact of transporting its raw material and diversify its product offering to its many customers.

ANDROS

ANDROS combines the needs of a multi-local industrial company with the values of a French family business that has been proud of its rural roots for over 100 years.

While fruit has always been at the heart of Andros’ D.N.A., the company’s expertise is built around other areas such as ultra-fresh dairy products, patisserie and confectionery. Its brands – Bonne Maman, Andros, Mamie Nova, Pierrot Gourmand – are the visible face of an organisation based on respect for its people, industrial excellence and a pragmatic culture of simplicity and discretion.

With TOWT, ANDROS is taking a further step towards decarbonising its value chain.

Les Jardins de Gaïa

Founded in 1994, Les Jardins de Gaïa was the first organic and fair trade tea company to adopt a sustainable development approach, with the aim of having a positive impact on the environment and society. Organic or biodynamic farming, fair trade, eco-design, working directly with producer organisations and CSR… the company defends strong values that constantly drive it to innovate in local and global solutions.
From the outset, Les Jardins de Gaïa opted for transport by boat or barge on the Rhine. Today, by joining forces with TOWT, Les Jardins de Gaïa is giving concrete expression to its pioneering commitment.

Drappier

Founded in 1808, but with cellars dating back to the Middle Ages, the Drappier family estate in Urville works with ancient grape varieties according to organic and natural principles. Domaine Drappier continues to follow this path by decarbonising its champagne exports to New York.

n 1965, General de Gaulle was seduced by a Drappier Pinot Noir for his family in Colombey-les-deux-Eglises. He was one of those who loved Drappier champagne for its assertive character.

Chartreuse Diffusion

La Chartreuse has more than 4 centuries of history dating back to the delivery of the manuscript by François Hannibal d’Estrées in 1605. It took the Carthusian monks more than 150 years of research to unravel the mystery of the manuscript and, in 1764, to establish the recipe for the Élixir Végétal.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the development of a new ‘table elixir’ led to the creation of Chartreuse Verte and Chartreuse Jaune in 1840. Since then, they have been able to preserve and pass on their precious know-how, and today these recipes still make up the bulk of the Chartreux Fathers’ products.
